The Dimitrievskaya church in the village of Kozlovka is built of stone, with a bell tower of the same material. It was erected in 1818 with funds from the landowner Pyotr Grigorievich Bardakov. There is no fence around the church, and the cemetery located nearby is enclosed by a wooden fence. The church has two altars: one in honor of Saint Dimitri of Rostov, and the other in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The church is located 92 versts from Kostroma and 50 versts from Kineshma. The nearest churches are in the village of Ivankovitsy (Preobrazhenskaya), in the settlement of Korby (Nikolaevskaya), and in the village of Voskresenskoye (Voskresenskaya) at a distance of 5 versts, in the village of Semyonovskoye-Lapotnoye (Troitskaya) at 7 versts, and in Medozha (Bogoroditskaya) at 8 versts.

Currently, one of the buildings of the Ostrovsky Psychoneurological Boarding School is located in the reconstructed building of this church.
