In December 1995, a community of 40 people was established in the settlement Memory of the Paris Commune. The believers appealed to Metropolitan Nikolai Kutepov of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas with a request to bless the creation of a prayer house in the boiler room of the local hospital in honor of the Sovereign Icon of the Mother of God. On Christmas 1996, the first Divine Liturgy took place, and since then, services have become regular. In 2013, the reconstruction of the building began.
