Based on a preserved photograph and measurements of the remaining volume of the temple, a sketch project for the restoration of the Church of Boris and Gleb was developed, and in 2010, restoration work began.

First, the bus stop located near the church and adjacent to the altar was moved to the other side of the road. Then, the interior spaces of the church and the basement were cleared of construction and household debris. A main heating network ran through the basement, which was flooded due to frequent leaks. The heating network was moved outside the church. The church's square structure was covered with a temporary roof, and the window openings were closed with temporary frames, allowing construction work to continue inside.

Inside the church, brick columns were rebuilt, on which reinforced concrete arches in a brick frame were installed. An octagonal structure made of brick was placed on the arches, and the octagonal roof was made of wood. Decorative elements such as kokoshniks, pilasters, cornices, and window openings of the lost parts of the church were restored based on old photographs and analogies with preserved elements. An octagonal porch was restored on the western side, complemented by a bell tower.

Currently, roofing work needs to be carried out and domes with crosses installed. There are also plans to restore the lost tiles.

In the Church of the Holy Princes Boris and Gleb, prayers are held on festive days.
