The Epiphany parish in Epiphany, located on the Mera River, is a stone building with a bell tower, built in 1812 with funds from the parishioners. The fence around the church is also made of stone. There are two cemeteries around the church: one directly at the church and the other half a kilometer away, surrounded by a moat. The church had five altars: in honor of the Epiphany of the Lord, the Savior Not Made by Hands, the Theodorov Icon of the Mother of God, the Dormition of the Mother of God, and Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. It is 75 versts to Kostroma and 65 versts to Galich. The nearest churches are the Afanasy-Kirillov Church in Stary Dvorishche, Kinshyemsky district, 9 versts away, as well as the Alexandrov Church in the village of Alexandrov, the Trinity Church in the village of Zameria, and the Mother of God Church in the village of Khomutovo, all located 10 versts away. To this day, only the bell tower of the Epiphany Church has survived.
