Once a glorious village of Quiet Mountains, merged with neighboring settlements Bondyuga and Kamashevo, is now known as the city of Mendeleevsk.

The first mentions of the church in the village of Tikhogorsk date back to 1722. There was a church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, associated with the Seven Lakes Desert.

By 1799, there were already two churches in the village: the cold Epiphany Church, built with the blessing of Metropolitan of Kazan Benjamin and consecrated in 1763, and the warm Archangel Michael Church, erected in 1751. Both churches were wooden and were eventually dismantled due to decay.

The stone Epiphany temple, which still exists today, was built in 1825. Its three altars were consecrated in honor of the Epiphany of the Lord in 1835, the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in 1821, and Saint Archangel Michael in 1818.

It is believed that in 1930, the Bolsheviks closed and desecrated the Epiphany church in the village of Quiet Mountains. It was turned into a club, and the tomb was looted. During the Soviet era, the church was used as a mill, warehouses, and for other economic needs.

The revival of the church began in 1990, when a community of Orthodox Christians was registered in Mendeleevsk and restoration of the church commenced. The first rector was priest Fr. Sergey Kozlov, and the senior was V.V. Tikhonov. The church began to be restored, and services were held in a prayer house opposite, in the former priests' house, where, according to local elders, the "proletarians' court over the priests" took place. The first service was held on January 19, 1991, on the church's feast day. From 1994, priest Fr. Vladimir Messeev, a former teacher at the local school, served in the church until 1999.

Since 1995, the rector of the Epiphany church has been Fr. Andrey Burdin.

In 2002, Vyatka artists Rumyantsev I.N. and the Klekovkin spouses painted the vault of the winter part of the church. In the same year, the Holy Gates were built, and the building of the former "Selmag" store was purchased and converted into a Sunday school and administrative-living complex of the church. In January 2003, with the blessing of Archbishop of Kazan and Tatarstan Anastasius, excavations began in the tomb of P.K. Ushkov. It was found that the grave had been vandalized several times during the Soviet era. The remains found were cleaned and put in order. The relics of P.K. Ushkov were laid in the correct anatomical order, a Great Panikhida was performed over them, after which the remains were reburied. In the spring of 2004, the Karpov Chemical Plant allocated funds for the repair of the tomb.

In 2008, the summer part of the church was painted, and work began on the main iconostasis.

The church houses relics of Saint Martyr Tatiana, Saint Procopius of Ustyansky, Dalmat, Saints Confessors Luke of Crimea Voino-Yasenetsky and Viktor Glazovsky Ostrovidov, Gabriel of the Seven Lakes Zyryanov, and other holy relics placed in a special ark.

Divine services in the church take place from Friday to Sunday, as well as on festive days.

Throughout the restoration process, support was felt from benefactors such as LLC "Spetsstroy", JSC "Karpov Chemical Plant", JSC "Nizhnekamskneftekhim", JSC "Kamtent", Corporation "RASSTAL", and others, whose contributions to the revival of the shrine will forever remain in the memory of the people.
