The village of Steksovo is located in the Ardatov district. According to the order of the Department of Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, No. 5-OD, the rural Epiphany Church was recognized as a historical and cultural heritage site. The church has altars: the main cold altar dedicated to the Epiphany of the Lord, as well as warm chapels, the right one in honor of the Sign of the Mother of God and the left one in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. The church dates back to 1846. However, order No. 5-OD was revoked on October 20, 2014, by order No. 159, and to this day only the warm church has been preserved.
