The first church in the village of S. Amanak was built in 1745 by the efforts of local residents. The temple was wooden and surrounded by a stone fence. The altar was consecrated in honor of the Epiphany of the Lord and Archangel Michael. The church could accommodate 2000 people, and there were two priests and two psalmists serving there. In 1858, the farmer Spirins from Buguruslan allocated 99 desyatins of arable and hay land to the church. In the village of Novo-Nikolskaya, a chapel was built with the funds of the parishioners.

In the second half of the 19th century, a church parish school operated at the church, where mainly the children of prosperous peasants studied. In honor of the Emperor's coronation, a public library was opened at the school, which contained 107 books of spiritual content. The church suffered from a fire but was restored. By the end of the 19th century, there were about 600 peasant households in the village.

In 1932, due to the "dilapidated condition of the building," the church was closed. In 1938, a decision was made to demolish it, and the temple was destroyed. A House of Culture was partially built on its foundation, which still functions today.

On November 17, 1995, at a meeting of the residents of the village of S. Amanak, chaired by the head of the village administration A.D. Kotkov, 120 people unanimously decided to create a community of believers and find a place for prayer meetings within 10 days. Thus, a prayer house dedicated to the Epiphany of the Lord appeared in the village.

In 1999-2000, a new wooden church was built in 10 months, which was consecrated in 2000 by Archbishop Sergey Polyotkin of Samara and Syzran in honor of the Epiphany of the Lord. The first rector was Archpriest Nikolai Petrov, followed by Priest Vitaly Togolev. After his death, the church is served by clergy from the church in honor of the Tabyn Icon of the Mother of God from the urban district of Pokhvistnevo.
