The wooden church, built between 1894 and 1897, is dedicated to the Epiphany of the Lord. It is located in the village of Novye Algashi in the Tsilninsky District of the Ulyanovsk Region, on the picturesque bank of the Bugurny River. The village, founded in the second half of the 19th century, is predominantly inhabited by Chuvash people. The name of the village comes from the Chuvash word "algash," which translates to "gully." Today, about 800 people live in the village. The church building is made of brick and includes a main room and a warm chapel. A small bell tower with an onion dome and a six-pointed cross rises above it, and another similar dome adorns the roof of the chapel. An iron decorative fence surrounds the church. The interior of the church is simple but harmoniously fits its small size. The church is open daily and is actively functioning, with regular church services and celebrations.
