Church of the Epiphany in Novo Nekouz

In the village of Nikolo-Zamoshye, there are two stone churches: the summer Assumption Church and the winter Epiphany Church, both with sturdy bell towers. The summer church has three altars: the central one is dedicated to the Assumption of the Mother of God, to the right, Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and to the left, Saint Alexius, Metropolitan of Moscow. The winter church also has three altars: the central one in honor of the Epiphany, to the right, the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos, and to the left, the Vladimir Mother of God. The summer church was built in 1807, and the winter one in 1873, thanks to the efforts of the parishioners.

The churches own 36 dessiatinas and 1021 square sazhen of land. The summer church is surrounded by a stone fence, while the winter church has an iron one. There are five wooden houses on the territory for the clergy, watchmen, and a school. The church capital amounts to 15,080 rubles and 61 kopecks. There is a chapel in the village of Kholopovo.

The parishioners number 1,350 men and 1,711 women. The village has a two-class church-parish school. The clergy staff includes a priest, a deacon, and a psalmist, and the parish capital amounts to 9,020 rubles and 93 kopecks.
