Krasnovo, a state village located by a pond and wells, is 14 versts from Rostov. The village has 51 households, with 136 residents, and there are 134 plots of land. In 1870, the Epiphany Church was built here from stone with one dome and a bell tower. The funds for the construction were provided by K. Pleshanova in memory of her deceased husband Ivan Maximovich Pleshanov. The church has no ancient artifacts or old icons.

Three processions are held in Krasnovo: on July 1, established about 20 years ago due to livestock deaths, as well as on July 20 and October 22. The last two processions have existed since ancient times, but their origins are unknown. Since 1871, a village school has been opened in the house built by Pleshanova.

Previously, there stood the tower of Prince Fyodor Vasilykovich. Here, Prince Ivan Vladimirovich married his grandson, Prince Mikhail Alexandrovich Kasatka, to Princess Matrona, daughter of Prince Dmitry Alexandrovich Shchepa. Later, Prince Konstantin Mikhailovich Kasatkin wanted to fight Prince Yuri Alexandrovich Khokholkov over Princess Feodora, daughter of Prince Ivan Ivanovich Puzhbolsky, but her death prevented the conflict. In 1866, Ivan Ivanovich Khranilov, a Rostov citizen and the first restorer of the Rostov Kremlin, died here. He was authorized by the Pleshanovs to construct the new church and passed away during the work.
