The Adashevo church, like the Anosovo church, was part of the fourth Deanery district of the Sergač county in the Nizhny Novgorod diocese. It was built in 1856 and was a wooden building with one altar, consecrated in honor of the Epiphany of the Lord. The congregation of the church was very small, only 230 people. Despite having 36 desyatins of land, the church could not support its own clergy. Therefore, the Adashevo church was attached to the Chernovo church, located five versts from Adashevo. The clergy from the village of Chernovo conducted services both in their church and in the Adashevo church.
