The church, dedicated to the Bogolyubskaya Mother of God and Saint George the Victorious, is a winter stone structure with two altars: in honor of the Mother of God and George. It was founded on July 25, 1854, with church funds and donations from parishioners. Among the particularly venerated relics are parts of the remains of holy servants and the miraculous Bogolyubskaya icon of the Mother of God, placed in a silver cross reliquary. The village has two chapels: a stone one built in 1860 at the cemetery and a wooden one in the village of Anguy, erected in 1900. The church owns 36 desyatinas of land. A two-story stone house has been built for the clergy's residence and the church school, which contains six large rooms. The church capital amounts to 1988 rubles. The village of Davydovsk is located on the slope of a mountain, at the foot of which flows a small river, Shiga. There are 1605 men and 1899 women living in the village and surrounding villages. Davydovsk has a single-class church school, while the villages of Anguy and Shchetikovo have literacy schools. The clergy staff includes two priests, a deacon, and two psalmists, with a clergy capital of 1788 rubles.
