Church of the Annunciation in Rebrovo

Фото 1
On a steep elevation, crossing the Konsha River, one can see a small five-domed church built in the style of provincial classicism. The Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Rebrovo, with an altar dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, was constructed by the parishioners in 1825. The strict three-tiered bell tower is aligned with the refectory and the square base. Instead of the porticos and pilasters typical of churches from the first half of the 19th century, here the strict rustication of the facades and classical window surrounds reminiscent of keystones are used. The windows of the semi-circular apse lack surrounds. The second tier of the bell tower is distinguished by elegant pediments, pilasters, and small decorative elements.

The church was closed in 1942 and has since been used as a grain storage facility. The church is surrounded by an active cemetery, but the fence and gates have not survived.
