The church in the village of Prusovo was built in 1780 and had two altars: in honor of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The church lands comprised 36 desyatins. The parish included 13 settlements with a total of 165 houses, where 540 men and 663 women lived.
The church was closed in 1957. Now the temple is gradually being restored: the domes and roof have been repaired, and the facade is being updated. Services resumed ten years ago and are now held on all weekends and holidays. The temple consists of two parts: a summer and a winter one. Services are conducted only in the winter church, dedicated to Nicholas the Wonderworker, while the summer church is named after the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
