The construction of the church began in 2001 with the consecration of the site and the start of construction work. The process was slow and faced difficulties due to a lack of funds. On March 14, 2010, Archbishop Ion of Astrakhan and Yenotayevsk visited the church, and for the first time, a liturgy was held in the city with the archbishop's rite.

In 2011, the domes were installed, and on November 4, the first Divine Liturgy took place in the church, which is considered the birthday of the parish. On November 17, 2013, the first Divine Liturgy was held in the upper church, and work on the improvement continues.

On November 6, 2016, the consecration of the lower church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "The Inexhaustible Cup" was performed.
