On February 7, in the village of Chernukha, Kstovo District, Nizhny Novgorod Region, a prayer service was held at the site where the foundation of a new church in honor of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary has already been laid, to bless the beginning of every good deed. The service was led by the archpriest Alexey Yelkin, the dean of the Kstovo district of the Nizhny Novgorod diocese, along with the clergy of the deanery.

Before the 1917 revolution, the village had the Annunciation Church, but it was destroyed during the Soviet years. Now the church is being restored, and the initiators of the construction are the villagers themselves.
