The village has two stone churches with the same bell tower and fence, which differ in durability. They house four altars: in the cold church, the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and in its chapel, in the name of the righteous Artemy of Verkholsky the Miracle Worker; in the warm church, in the name of the prophet Elijah and the nine holy martyrs in Kyzik. The cold church was built in 1754, and the warm one in 1776 with funds from the parishioners. The church has 112 desyatins and 1160 square fathoms of land, as well as a wooden house for the priest's residence. The church capital amounts to 580 rubles in bonds. The parish consists of 790 men and 915 women. The village is located 55 versts from Yaroslavl and has a primary zemstvo school. According to the staffing schedule, the clergy should include a priest and a psalmist, and the parish capital amounts to 2763 rubles in bonds.
