The village of Priklon, located on the Unzha River, is two versts from the district town. According to legend, it was founded in the second half of the 16th century when in 1463 the residents of the destroyed Kostroma, fleeing from the Tatars, settled on the banks of the Unzha and named this place Priklon.

The first documentary mentions of the village of Priklon appear in the land books of 1628-1630, where it is recorded as belonging to the Yazykov landowners. At that time, there was already a church of Archangel Michael with an altar dedicated to Saint Martyr Paraskeva, built by the father of one of the landowners. There was no priest at the church; the village had two manorial courtyards, a steward's courtyard, four peasant courtyards, and one courtyard of a backwoodsman. From these records, it can be concluded that the church in Priklon already existed by the end of the 16th century, but in the 17th century it fell into disrepair.

The records of the Ryazan diocese from 1676 indicate that the parish of the abandoned church of Archangel Michael in Priklon was attached to the church of the village of Sinzhan. The parish included the courtyard of the landowners and three peasant courtyards. When the church was restored is not precisely known, but before the construction of the stone church in 1845, there was a wooden one built in 1788, which possibly became the first after the period of neglect.

In 1845, a stone church was built with the funds of landowner Nazvanov, and in 1861, a warm refectory was added to it. The church has two altars: the main one in the name of Archangel Michael and in the refectory in honor of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos. The church is equipped with utensils, a sacristy, icons, and liturgical books.

According to the staff, the parish includes a priest and a psalmist. Their maintenance is provided by a salary from the treasury of 400 rubles and income from services and needs of about 300 rubles. The parish houses are located on church land. The land allotment of the church includes 3 desyatinas of homestead land, 33 desyatinas of arable and haymaking land, and 5 desyatinas of meadow land among the forests of landowner Nazvanov. There is no plan or land registry for the land. The parish includes the village of Priklon and the villages of Bolshoy Priklon, Maly Priklon, and Ivashina, where according to clerical records, there are 715 men and 745 women. Since 1892, a church-parish school has been operating in the village of Priklon.
