In 2003, a cross was erected in the central square of Verbovsky settlement, and by the blessing of Archbishop Evlogy, the construction of a new church in honor of the holy apostle Andrew the First-Called began. The work lasted six years under the guidance of the church's rector, the Venerable Ilya Muromets, and priest Nikolai Simchuk. On December 10, 2009, Archbishop Evlogy of Vladimir and Suzdal consecrated the Church of Andrew the First-Called, which is now the main place of worship in the parish.

In 2010, the parish of the Venerable Ilya Muromets was re-registered as the parish of the holy apostle Andrew the First-Called, and the church of the Venerable Ilya Muromets became a subsidiary.
