The Skete of St. Anastasia the Deliverer is located in the Bakhchisarai district, a little south of Bakhchisarai, near the villages of Predushelnoe and Bashtanovka. This skete on the Crimean peninsula can be considered a true gem of Orthodoxy. This name is not just a metaphor, as the church is adorned with millions of beads. But let's take it step by step.

The cave city of Kachi-Kalyon, located near the village of Predushelnoe, included numerous hermit caves, several churches, and a number of civil buildings. The monastery of Anastasia, according to historical and archaeological data, likely emerged here in the 8th century, founded by monks fleeing from Byzantium. This was a period of iconoclasm, when significant changes were occurring in the church, not all of which were supported. The complex existed in Kachi-Kalyon for almost a thousand years and was known far beyond Crimea. In 1778, when almost all Christians left the peninsula, the monastery also ceased to exist. Its inhabitants left, taking with them the icon of the great martyr Anastasia. The small beaded church and other buildings gradually fell into disrepair.

The revival of the skete in the 19th century is associated with Archbishop Innocent, who claimed that Crimea was not inferior to the Holy Mount Athos in its potential and that cave monasteries needed to be revived here. In 1859, Innocent visited a healing spring and consecrated the dilapidated church, which was soon restored. Believers and pilgrims began to flock here. Soon, a second church, also named in honor of Anastasia, was built along the road, below the steep cliffs.

However, during the Soviet era, the skete fell into neglect once again. Restoration only began in 2005 thanks to the efforts of the brotherhood of the Holy Assumption Bakhchisarai Men's Monastery.

Over the past ten years, the Skete of St. Anastasia the Deliverer in Crimea has undergone significant transformation. Its feature is the abundance of beads inside the church. All the monastery icons, candle holders, and lamps are embroidered with beads. Since the church is being restored in a former limestone mining tunnel, it is always damp and humid here, so neither plaster nor paint would hold. The first icons were embroidered with beads, followed by wall patterns and candle holders. The entire temple is adorned with this simple decor, which shimmers with colorful glints in the candlelight, creating a special glow. A larger temple complex in honor of the Most Holy Theotokos "Three-Handed" is also being built here, which will be located in a more accessible, less damp place. The inhabitants of the skete have planted a small garden on the slopes of the mountains, where, in addition to traditional fruit trees, persimmons even grow.
