According to the memories of the locals, there used to be a church in the village, but by the early 1930s it had ceased to function, and residents attended the church in the village of Upper Yakushka. In 1952, the church building was dismantled, and the bricks were used to construct a collective farm warehouse.

On May 22, 2019, the construction of a new church began, funded by philanthropist Alexey Konychev. The villagers actively assisted in this construction.
