The church in the name of the venerable Alexander of Svir, made of stone and warm, was built thanks to the efforts of Lieutenant Vasily Alekseevich Alyabyev and consecrated on September 30, 1767. The church has one altar dedicated to the venerable Alexander of Svir.

On May 3, 1903, His Imperial Majesty granted the highest consent for the St. Petersburg Ioannovsky Convent to accept a donation from Senator and Privy Councillor Vladimir Mordvinov. This donation included his ancestral Vaulovsky estate in the Romanov-Borisoglebsky district, consisting of various plots with a total area of 890 desyatinas and 453 sazhen, both arable and non-arable land, including a plot in the village of Vaulovo. In this village, there are stone churches that do not belong to the parish and are maintained solely at the expense of Mordvinov. The donation also includes a church allotment of 33 desyatinas of arable land, church vestments and other movable church property, church monetary capital, and all church and estate buildings. Among other obligations, the monastery commits to open a shelter in this estate where elderly monastic sisters could find comfortable rest, and the sick could find rest and means for recovery.
