On February 6, 1899, near the Prosnica station of the Perm-Kotlas railway, a solemn consecration of the site for the construction of a church in honor of the righteous prince Alexander Nevsky and the equal-to-the-apostles Mary Magdalene took place. This church was moved from the village of Verkhoprosnitskoye, where it was built and consecrated on November 12, 1870, in honor of the Athos icon of the Mother of God. After the construction of a new stone church in the village, the wooden one was sold to the Prosnica station. Here, it was reassembled by the efforts of the parishioners and was assigned to the parish of the village of Chepetsko-Ilyinsky in the Vyatka district. The consecration took place on October 17, 1901, in the name of the holy righteous prince Alexander Nevsky and the holy equal-to-the-apostles myrrh-bearer Mary Magdalene.

By the decree of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on September 19, 1902, and the decision of the Vyatka diocesan administration, a parish was opened at the Alexander Nevsky Church at the end of the same year. The settlement near the Prosnica station of the Perm railway was granted the status of a village and named Alexandrovskoye.

In the post-revolutionary years, the village of Alexandrovskoye lost its Alexander Nevsky church and name, turning into the Prosnica station. The church building was successively used as a reading hut, library, district military enlistment office, kindergarten, hospital, and music school. In the early 1970s, with the construction of a new school, the church was finally demolished.

On February 15, 1998, on the Feast of the Meeting of the Lord, the residents of Prosnica gathered for a festive prayer service. And on December 27, 1998, for the first time in many decades, since the village of Alexandrovskoye lost its church and name, a Divine Liturgy was served here. The new church was consecrated in honor of the holy righteous prince Alexander Nevsky. The rite of consecration of the altar was conducted by the archpriest Nikolai Fedko, the dean of the Kirovo-Chepetsk district.

The administration of Prosnica transferred a barrack-type building, which during the war housed a rear hospital, to the church. After the war, it housed a music school, library, and household service workshops. After a major renovation and re-equipping in 1996, on the eve of the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, a dome with a cross was installed over the prayer house.

On June 9, 2006, a chapel in honor of the Holy Trinity was consecrated, built at the local cemetery.
