On May 6, 2015, a church dedicated to the holy righteous grand prince Alexander Nevsky was consecrated in the village of Kozhevennoye, Bogorodsky District. The Great Consecration was conducted by Metropolitan Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas. He also celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the newly consecrated church. Metropolitan Georgy was assisted by Bishop Augustine of Gorodets and Vetluga, Bishop Barnabas of Vyksa and Pavlovo, Bishop Siluan of Lyskov and Lukoyanov, Vicar Bishop Ilya of Balakhna, as well as clergy from the region's churches.
