The Church of Saint Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky in the village of Demarino was built from 1888 to 1891 with funds from Ural entrepreneur A.F. Poklevsky-Kozell. A two-tiered stone bell tower adjoined the western side of the stone church. One of the first priests of the parish was Father Xenophon Malyshev.

In August 1939, the church was closed, and in the following years, its building was used as a grain storage facility, and later, until the 1990s, as a club. During this time, the building suffered greatly: the bell tower, drum, and dome were demolished, the triangular pediments above the side entrances were lost, window and door frame decorations were removed, and the wrought-iron fence was dismantled. Only darkened fragments of the frescoes remained on the vault of the refectory.

Since spring 2002, restoration work on the parish and church began: a religious organization was created, the building was cleaned, and the search for necessary funds was initiated. The restoration was supported by local residents, government representatives, business leaders, and entrepreneurs. Through joint efforts, a bell tower with a dome was installed starting in 2008, and the church building was being arranged. Before the church's revival, at the suggestion of the parish priest Father Boris Belov and with the support of the Demarino residents, Metropolitan Ioann of Chelyabinsk and Zlatoust blessed the holding of services in a prayer house, consecrated in July 2011 in honor of Seraphim of Sarov.

On April 5, 2013, a significant event in the restoration of the Alexander Nevsky Church took place: the main dome was installed, and crosses were consecrated and installed.

On October 5, 2013, on the 260th anniversary of the village of Demarino, the renovated Alexander Nevsky Church was opened for services.

On August 10, 2014, Bishop Grigory of Troitsk and South Ural conducted the first archpastoral Divine Liturgy and consecrated the bells in the Church of Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky.

On September 12, 2014, on the day of the celebration of the transfer of the relics of Saint Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky, Bishop Grigory of Troitsk and South Ural consecrated the church in honor of Saint Blessed Grand Prince Alexander Nevsky in the village of Demarino and led the Divine Liturgy.
