The Alexander Nevsky Church in Barsovo is being built according to the project of Moscow architect Roman Kalganov. The church is designed in the Moscow style and features a complex three-petal structure with sloping walls.

Construction faces serious difficulties that slow down the process. A lack of materials, qualified specialists, funding, and other specific issues are having an impact. The project documentation is in a sketch form and requires further development on site. However, all work is being carried out on a voluntary basis and selflessly. Important technical support for the project is provided by Vladimir architect Olga Mikhailovna Pashchenko.

The main construction work is led by the local priest, Father Nikolai.

The church promises to be unique in the Vladimir region in terms of both facades and interiors. Such a quantity of manually carved and hewn bricks of various profiles is rarely found among modern church buildings. Vladimir stone carvers have made and installed capitals and other decorations from white stone for the church's interiors, inspired by the decor of the Assumption and Dmitrievsky Cathedrals in Vladimir. During the construction work, the carved material is protected from damage. There are also plans to implement heated floors made from modern materials that did not exist at the time of the church's design.
