In the winter of 1906-1907, the Archbishop of the Samara Diocese blessed the construction of the church of the holy and righteous Prince Alexander Nevsky in Abdullino. The church was consecrated on the day of the Holy Trinity in 1912.

In May 1932, the authorities of Abdullino decided to demolish the district church of Alexander Nevsky. The destruction was carried out by railway builders and repairmen from the locomotive depot. A monument to Lenin was later erected on the site of the church.

In September 2006, Metropolitan Valentin of Orenburg and Buzuluk appointed Archpriest Stefan Lishchenyuk as the rector of the restoring Alexander Nevsky Church. In 2004, Father Stefan and the head of the Abdullino district, V. I. Gorbunov, received the blessing of Metropolitan Valentin to revive the church in Abdullino.

In September and October 2006, excavations were conducted, during which the remains of the foundation of the previous church were discovered. Father Stefan appealed to the administration of the Abdullino district with a request to allocate a plot for construction and to permit design and construction works.

On February 13, 2008, Metropolitan Valentin conducted the rite of laying the foundation of the Alexander Nevsky Church. On July 15, 2009, he consecrated the crosses for the domes.

On October 2, 2011, Metropolitan Valentin consecrated the church of the holy and righteous Prince Alexander Nevsky in Abdullino and conducted the Divine Liturgy in the newly consecrated church.
