The Athanasius-Cyril Church in the Old Dvorishche parish, also known as Ostrovskoye, was built of stone in 1791 thanks to the efforts of the parishioners. The church had a stone fence and a bell tower, and a cemetery was located nearby. There were three altars in the church: in honor of the holy hierarchs Athanasius and Cyril of Alexandria, St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, and the holy martyrs Flora and Lavra. It was located 85 versts from Kostroma and 42 versts from Kineshma. The nearest churches were in the village of Semyonovskoye-Lapotnoye (Trinity Church) one verst away and in the villages of Khomutovo (Mother of God Church) and Korby (Nikolayevskaya Church) eight versts away. The church building was destroyed in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
