Since 1999, the Center of Folk Art has been operating in Suzdal, located within the Kremlin in a wooden house built in the late 17th and early 19th centuries. This building is a monument of architecture. Inside, the atmosphere resembles a trading shop where the former owner successfully conducted his business. The interior is adorned with works by craftsmen from Suzdal and the Vladimir region. Visitors can learn about the life and customs of merchants, as well as the history of wooden architecture and the traditions of our ancestors.

For those who want to master the basics of craftsmanship, workshops are offered in belt weaving, creating amulets, patchwork mosaics, straw weaving, and wood carving. The Center annually organizes celebrations such as the Summer Solstice in June and the Christmas Fair in January, featuring craftsmen from Vladimir, Ivanovo, Yaroslavl, and other regions. Newlyweds often choose to hold their wedding ceremony here. The Center's staff has created an amateur association of craftsmen called 'Otrada,' which has been active on Kremlin Street for several years. Here, the works of craftsmen are exhibited, and workshops are conducted. The crafts fair on this street is visited annually by tens of thousands of city guests, including renowned artists, performers, and even politicians, who come to Suzdal without much publicity.

The Center of Folk Art actively participates in all significant regional festivals, exhibitions, and forums, representing the city with dignity. Its exhibitions have been displayed in the international Roerich Museum, the Bakhrushin Theater Museum, and in various cities across Russia, including Moscow.
