The department focuses on the aesthetic education of children and youth, taking into account age psychology and the cultural needs of modern society, based on museum collections.

Classes are held in the exhibition halls of all museum buildings, as well as in studios, workshops, and classrooms of the Center for Aesthetic Education.

The department's work is organized based on the development of existing forms of the museum-pedagogical system established at the A.S. Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, supplemented by new artistic and educational programs.

Studio and classroom sessions actively utilize modern audiovisual tools and the possibilities of the Internet.

At 'Museyon', the museum's students showcase their creative achievements at children's drawing exhibitions, musical evenings, and musical-literary compositions that conclude each academic year.
