The first mention of the village of Chimeevo dates back to 1681, when a man with the surname Chimeev settled on the banks of the Niyap River, a tributary of the Tobol. He was a convict, but after serving his sentence, he decided to stay in the Trans-Ural region. Gradually, other people joined him, and a settlement was formed, which received the status of a sloboda.

One day, children playing by the river noticed a large icon of the Holy Mother of God floating against the current. The icon stopped in front of the children, who called the adults. With prayers, the icon was retrieved from the water and taken to the church in honor of Constantine and Helena. In gratitude, the residents of Chimeevo and nearby villages donated a vestment for the icon, adorned with precious stones. A significant contribution to this was made by Ivan Fyodorovich Moskvin, who also financed repair work in the church and the purchase of church utensils.

In 1887, the church fell into disrepair, and at a parish meeting, it was decided to appeal to Bishop Avraamy of Tobol for a blessing to build a new church. Father Iakov Serebrennikov wrote a petition, and on January 26, 1888, a blessing was received for the construction of a new church at the old site. On May 7, 1889, the foundation of the new church was laid, and on May 21, 1890, it was solemnly consecrated in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. The consecration and the first liturgy were led by Father Alexander Eleonsky, assisted by Father Iakov and the clergy of neighboring parishes. On July 26, 1893, Father Iakov Serebrennikov was succeeded by Father Vasily Sokolov.

In 1937, during the struggle against religion, the church was closed, and Father Alexander was shot. The location of his burial is unknown. In 1943, the church building was used as a grain warehouse.

In 1947, at the request of the parishioners, the church was returned to the believers. On April 10, by the decree of Bishop Toviy of Sverdlovsk and Irbit, Protopriest Peter Trofimov was appointed as the rector. On the day of the Ascension of the Lord and the transfer of the relics of Saint Nicholas, the Divine Liturgy was held again in the church.

In 2002, the Kazan church was transformed into the Kazan-Bogoroditsky Men's Monastery by the decree of His Holiness Patriarch Alexy and the Holy Synod.
