Olga Konstantinovna Chekhova was a Russian theater and film actress, known as the state actress of the Third Reich. She was born on April 14, 1897, in Alexandropol (now Gyumri, Armenia) to a family of Russified Germans. In 1920, Chekhova left Russia and moved to Germany. By 1921, she made her debut in German cinema, and by the early 1930s, she became one of the leading stars of German film. She maintained a friendly relationship with Eva Braun and was Hitler's favorite actress.

On April 27, 1945, Chekhova was arrested by the Soviet occupying authorities and sent by plane from Berlin to Moscow. Two months later, on June 25, she was returned to Berlin.

In 1950, Chekhova settled in Munich, which became the center of film production in West Germany. In 1955, she founded the company 'Olga Chekhova Cosmetics' in Munich, opening branches in Berlin and Milan.

Olga Chekhova is buried in Munich at the Obermenzing cemetery.
