The Chapel of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary was built in 1894, replacing an old chapel from 1773. It was located near the village, on the edge of a ravine in a field. This small cult building is of the cell type. The plan of the chapel is symmetrical relative to the west-east axis: a square main room is adjoined on the west side by a porch with an entrance to the bell tower.

The dimensions of the chapel in meters: length, 10.6 m, width, 6.0 m, height, 14.0 m. It consists of two cell-type log structures made in a rounded style from logs with a diameter of 20-30 cm. The main structure is covered by a false vaulted ceiling made of eight leaves, which rests on the walls with the help of slanted flat log structures at a 45-degree angle. The bell tower has three tiers and is designed as an octagon on a square base with an octagonal dome and spire.

The chapel is clad in wooden planks, and the foundation is made of boulders. There is no decorative embellishment; only ornate crosses serve as decoration.

The dimensions of the main rooms: the temple, length 5.4 m, width 5.0 m, height 5.5 m; the porch, length 1.7 m, width 2.4 m, height 2.6 m. The height of the interior spaces of the chapel increases as one approaches its main volume, the temple.

In the late 1980s, the chapel was moved from the village of Kamsamas, where it was built in 1894, to the Ust-Vym Mikhailo-Arkhangelsky Monastery. At the new location, it was re-consecrated as Nikolskaya. The relocation of the chapel became part of plans to create an open-air museum in Ust-Vym.
