The Chapel of All Saints, established in 2014 in the Ivan Kulibin Park in the Nizhny Novgorod district, was created in memory of the soldiers who died during World War I. On June 12, 2014, Metropolitan Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas conducted the consecration ceremony of the chapel.

The Ivan Kulibin Park was founded in 1940 on the site of the former Peter and Paul Cemetery, which existed here since 1775. Many Nizhny Novgorod residents were buried in this cemetery, including those who died on the battlefields or succumbed to wounds during World War I. August 1, 2014 marked the centenary of the beginning of this global tragedy that claimed countless lives.
