The Chapel of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Belgorod was built at the initiative of the veterans' council and the leadership of the Internal Affairs Department of Belgorod Oblast. It was consecrated by Archbishop Ioann of Belgorod and Stary Oskol on November 10, 1999. The chapel is erected in memory of Belgorod residents, employees of the internal affairs bodies, who died in the line of duty. This is a brick quadrangular chapel, located in front of the Belgorod Ministry of Internal Affairs museum and topped with a small dome.
