Lyapnya, a village in the Gaginsky District, where the Vladimir Church once stood, was classified as a historical and cultural heritage site according to the order of the Department of Protection of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000. This church dates back to the 19th century. However, order 5-OD lost its validity on October 20, 2014, in accordance with order No. 159.

According to local historian Vladimir Bakunin, this site no longer exists in Lyapnya. The "Address Calendar of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese" from 1904 mentions that at the beginning of the 20th century, there was a wooden church in the village in honor of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, built in 1693. The parish included two villages with 524 men and 522 women of the Orthodox faith, as well as 34 men and 41 women who were schismatics. The church owned 35 desyatins of land, and a church parish school operated there. The calendar notes that the church was modest, lacking in utensils and vestments.

Currently, a chapel dedicated to the Vladimir Mother of God is being built in Lyapnya with private funds.
