On July 22, 2012, a chapel was laid in honor of St. Barbara the Great Martyr in the Sudogda district, on the territory of the dacha settlement "Varvarino Field." This event was made possible thanks to the efforts of the regional public organization "Chernobyl Union," the support of the administration of the city of Vladimir and the administration of the Sudogda district, as well as benefactors. In November 2012, the chapel opened its doors in memory of the deceased and fallen Chernobyl workers. A capsule with a message was placed in the foundation of the chapel during its laying.

To the descendants of Vladimir land from the 21st century, July 22, 2012, Vladimir region, Sudogda district, near the village of Verigino, the site of St. Barbara the Great Martyr, the land of the regional public organization "Chernobyl Union."

Today, July 22, 2012, the consecration of the foundation for the construction of the chapel in honor of the feat, memory, and glory of the participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster, which occurred on April 26, 1986, took place.

From our holy Vladimir land, 2717 people went to that war. To date, 750 of them have passed away, and more than 500 have become disabled.

We did everything possible in the fight against this terrible technological disaster, the largest of the 20th century.
