The chapel was built by the estate owner I.I. Lutovinov on the site of an old church, located in the center of the cemetery above the family tomb of the Lutovinovs. I.I. Lutovinov himself was buried in this chapel on December 10, 1813.

The architecture of the chapel is executed in strict proportions of classicism. Inside, there used to be an iron plate with an inscription stating that it was placed on the grave of an infant "by his uncle and his mother's friend Ivan Lutovinov." Next to the chapel is a neatly piled earthen mound topped with a limestone stele. On one side of this monument is an inscription: "Here lies the body of a Frenchman, a native of Lorraine, the city of Nancy, Nicolas Etienne Venei Defren, who came to Russia in 1769, who passed away on July 15, 1793." On the other side of the stele is a partially worn poetic epitaph in Russian.
