On November 3, 2011, on the eve of the feast of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, the first service was held in the new chapel dedicated to the Dormition of the Theotokos in the village of Novouspenskoe, Vetluzhsky District, Nizhny Novgorod Region. The service was led by Archpriest Lev Bushuev, assistant to the dean of the Vetluzhsky district. Clergy from the deanery also participated in the service: Archpriest Nikolai Kravchuk, Archpriest Andrei Sinyavin, and Priest Pavel Govorov.
