In the summer of 2008, a solemn opening of the chapel dedicated to St. Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica took place in the village of Novaya Nelidovka, Belgorod region. The idea for the construction belonged to Dmitry Vasilyevich Khudaev, head of the pension fund department of the Russian Federation in Belgorod region and a native of this village. The construction work was carried out by the company LLC 'Builder' under the direction of director Nikolai Ivanovich Litvin.
