Фото 1
On September 16, 2015, a chapel was consecrated in Belgorod in honor of Saint Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir. It is located on the site of a former women's monastery. During his last visit to Belgorod, Patriarch Kirill noted that it would be good to build a church here. The chapel's design was developed in February and March, and its construction was completed in record time. The chapel is made of white marble delivered from the Urals and is unique for the region. Inside, there are ancient Kazan and Iver icons of the Mother of God, brought from Moscow and approximately 200 years old. The dome is hand-painted by craftsmen from Volgodonsk. The construction of the chapel was financed by the company 'Agro-Belogorie.' The Metropolitan presented a patriarchal award to the company's general director, Vladimir Zotov, and awarded archpastoral certificates to other participants in the construction.
