In Denisovichi, there once stood a church in honor of Archangel Michael, first mentioned in the early 18th century. The last building, erected in 1872, was wooden. In 1942, it was burned down by the Nazis, and it did not survive. The residents took the icons home, and one of them, depicting Archangel Michael, has survived to this day.

In 2013, the villagers decided to build a chapel on the site of the former church with their own efforts. On February 18, 2014, Bishop Sergey of Klintsy and Trubchevsk blessed the construction. The villagers collected donations, and over three years, the foundation, plinth, and walls of the chapel were erected. More than 200,000 rubles were spent on the construction.
