The chapel of Saint Blessed Prince Igor of Chernigov on Thin Cape in Gelendzhik was built on the grounds of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra in the 2010s.

In 1995, a plot of land of 0.6 hectares, which housed a dilapidated building of the church of Saint Blessed Prince Igor of Chernigov, was transferred to the Chernigov Skete of the Holy Trinity-Sergius Lavra. During the renovation works, the building lost its original architectural appearance of the facades, and the proportions of the tent were altered. Interior finishing works were carried out, and an iconostasis delivered from Moscow was installed.
