The Chapel of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker is located on the grounds of Trinity Cemetery in the center of Oryol. This one-story brick building was constructed in the mid-1990s. In 2003, a space for a bookstore was added to the chapel. The exterior of the Nicholas Chapel is adorned with a small dome. The cemetery also houses the Church of the Holy Trinity.
Trinity Cemetery is one of the oldest necropolises in Oryol. It was established in 1778 in the northern part of the city, near the Naugor Road. The Holy Trinity Church, built in 1828 from donations, is located here. Initially, the cemetery was used for the burial of nobles, as well as residents of the settlements of Podmonastyrskaya, Novotroitskaya, and Soldiers, and the villages of Sukhaya Orlitsa, Kostomarovka, Nekrasovka, Telgino, Zhilina, Kishkinka, and Nikulichi. Additionally, burials from Oryol's charitable institutions were conducted here.
