In 2009, a chapel was built behind the altar of the Tikhvin Church at the church cemetery in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh. It is intended for storing remains found during the restoration of the church and on the territory of the former cemetery.
The chapel is designed in a style consistent with the church. Inside, there is a mosaic icon depicting the burial of the parents of St. Sergius of Radonezh. The design for the chapel was based on the project of the Chapel of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Domozhirovo. This brick chapel, built in the neo-Russian style in 1905 in honor of the birth of Tsarevich Alexei, served as a transformer booth during the Soviet era. It was restored in 2010.
