The shelter over the holy spring at the Holy Yuriev Monastery is a rotunda located within one of the oldest monasteries in Russia, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list.

The exact date of the shelter's construction is unknown. It is made of stone and has the shape of an octagonal rotunda, adorned with kokoshniks and topped with a large onion dome, giving it the appearance of an open chapel. The vault of the rotunda is supported by eight columns, one of which is now destroyed. In the center of the rotunda is a stone bowl of the holy spring.

Yuriev Monastery, also known as Yuriev-George or Holy Yuriev Monastery, is a male monastery of the Russian Orthodox Church dedicated to the great martyr George. It is one of the oldest monasteries in Russia, and in the Middle Ages, it was the spiritual center of the Novgorod Republic and a wealthy spiritual feudal lord. The monastery is located on the southern outskirts of Veliky Novgorod, on the banks of the Volkhov River (Yurievskoye Highway, 10). Until 1918, it held the status of a first-class monastery, and the monastic community was restored in 1995.

The monastery is a cultural heritage site of federal significance.
