Chapel of the Nativity of John the Baptist and Faith, Hope, Love, and their Mother Sophia in Ploskovo

Фото 1
The chapel was built by Moscow merchant Korzinkin for his sick wife, using his own funds. His house with rich decor was nearby and has survived to this day, although it is in a state of disrepair. The chapel's domes were covered with gold leaf, and the interior walls and dome were adorned with biblical scenes created by Italian masters. The interior included many icons and ornate candlesticks.

The feast days were celebrated on July 7 and September 30, with the liturgy conducted by the clergy of the Annunciation Church from the village of Suday. After the service, a procession was held around the surroundings.

Since the 1930s, the chapel was used for grain storage. Photographs from 1970 and 1975 show a gallery surrounding the chapel, supported by four corner pillars. Currently, the gallery has been completely lost.
