On February 7, 2014, the consecration and installation of the Cross took place at the newly built chapel. Residents of the village of Ovtsino gathered for this event, along with priests from the Sudogda deanery led by Dean Georgy Morokhin, and also Archpriest Evgeny Lipatov, whose efforts made this chapel possible.
Everyone prayed together, and the residents felt as if it were a dream. For back in 1944, their parents had pleaded: "We, the believers of the village of Ovtsino, are in dire need of religious support, grieving in our souls. Such sorrow was unknown even to our ancestors, and we are deprived of all comfort in these hard days caused by the war with the cruel enemy of our Motherland and Christianity." Thus, they wrote a request for the opening of a church in Spas-Besedy. Their parents attended church, and they themselves remember how, as children, they stood in the temple with their parents, while their chapel in honor of the Icon of the Most Holy Mother of God was destroyed.
