The brick chapel, topped with a light octagon and a tent roof, was built in 1838 over the remains of an oak tree, in the hollow of which, according to legend, St. Tikhon of Kaluga resided. In the 1920s, the chapel was destroyed, and a private farm was established in its place. In 2006, a new brick octagonal chapel with a tent roof was erected on the original site, featuring an image of St. Tikhon of Kaluga above the entrance.

In the summer of 2005, the remains of the old chapel's foundation were discovered, and a new chapel was built on this site according to a new design while preserving the original dimensions. The project was developed by the Creative Workshop of Architect O. Gridassov. By the summer of 2006, all construction and finishing works were completed, including the landscaping of the surrounding area. On June 28, 2007, Metropolitan Kliment of Kaluga and Borovsk consecrated the chapel in honor of St. Tikhon of Kaluga.

The chapel attracts pilgrims as a memorial site of the Holy Oak of St. Tikhon of Kaluga. Nearby, there is another oak tree, about 100 years old, which also has a hollow.
