In the village of Novopokrovsk, Kstovsky District, on Wednesday, the eve of Christmas 2005, the Orthodox chapel dedicated to the Protection of the Mother of God was consecrated. The ceremony was conducted by Father Mikhail from the Church of the Most Merciful Savior. Previously, the chapel was wooden and had not been functioning for about 30 years. Now it is built of brick and well-lit. The construction lasted about six months.
